Blue Ribbon Panel

In addition to the input of hundreds of faculty, leadership also sought to validate the direction of the strategic plan with four of the nation’s most esteemed health care leaders. In August 2007, Victor Dzau, Ralph Muller, William A. Peck, M.D., and Samuel O. Thier, M.D., convened a meeting with close to 30 administrative and board representatives from the Medical Center and the University, and discussed specific elements of the plan including the proposed PRISM project, and the selected Integrated Disease Programs and Innovative Science Programs.  All four members of the Blue Ribbon Panel enthusiastically supported the overall themes and core components of the Strategic Plan.
