Program Director WelcomeThe University of Rochester Medical Center enjoys a well-deserved reputation for discovery and excellence in the medical imaging sciences. Our programs are well-funded and well-equipped, and we are presented with what—from a physician’s and a resident’s perspective—is a fascinating and challenging array of pathology. URMC is the home of ground-breaking research in the imaging sciences. Research is ongoing and encouraged here. A significant number of subspecialties are explored and advanced. Radiology Residents also have ready access to the latest technology, including PET-CT and 3T MRI, which provides opportunities for interesting study and clinical experience. The assets and the attitudes that you will encounter during your residency here will bring you to the cutting edge of imaging technologies and practices. You’ll be guided by a diverse and gifted faculty anxious to impart knowledge to not only the resident staff but to members of the medical community at large.
