About the Program

The Pathology Residency Training Program at the University of Rochester provides core rotations through both Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. Our program is flexible and prepares residents for a career in either academic or community practice. Our program also offers an elective rotation focusing on career development. The Department also offers a Resident Research Year-Out Program to assist the career development of those interested in fellowship and faculty opportunities.

Medical students in their second or third year hold year-out fellowship positions for special study in Pathology and complement the resident staff as externs. University of Rochester School of Medicine students interested in this year-out fellowship in Pathology and Laboratory Medicine should contact the Program Coordinator at (585) 273-4580.
