This recognition is much appreciated and, we believe, very much deserved. We’re fortunate to be part of URMC—a forward-thinking, well-funded, highly respected medical enterprise. Our activities, and now our department, have flourished in the clinical, research and academic environments that exist here. In that environment we have taken it upon ourselves to create a department that emphasizes quality over quantity. For example, our residency program is smaller than most. But the opportunities for close and constant interaction with our exceptional nine-member faculty are far greater than at most other otolaryngology residency programs.
