Interview Information

Interviews for the Family Medicine Residency Program are held for small numbers of applicants on Mondays and Fridays, beginning Monday, November 26, 2007, and continuing through Friday, January 25, 2008. Interviews are not scheduled on Christmas Eve or New Year's Eve.

Applicants who are selected for an interview are notified by email and sent a formal invitation with specific details by postal mail.

The Interview Day

Our residents host an informal dinner party the evening before each interview day to welcome applicants. The interview day begins at 7:45 a.m. Applicants have a light breakfast with faculty, followed by three interviews, lunch with residents, a walk through Highland Hospital, and a short tour of Rochester. The day ends with a relaxing chat at a local coffee house around 3:00 p.m.

Accommodations

Candidates invited for an interview are our guests at one of Rochester's finest hotels. View Travel and Lodging information. Complimentary transportation to and from the hotel is available. If you choose to drive, free parking is provided. Transportation to Rochester is the responsibility of the applicant. Staff and residents are available to assist with all logistics of the interview. Significant others and children are welcome, and we will do our best to accommodate any particular interests of theirs, including information about career opportunities, schools and cultural facilities. Complimentary visits to local museums can also be arranged. If you have children, the Strong National Museum of Play is not to be missed!
