By Air
The University of Rochester Medical Center is about 2 miles from the Greater Rochester International Airport (airport code ROC). Commercial taxi service and car rental are available from the airport. Cab fare will cost approximately $10 (depending on people and luggage).
- Turn right when exiting airport
- Merge onto I-390 South
- Take Exit 17 to Scottsville Road.
- Turn left onto Scottsville Road.
- At the third light, bear right onto Elmwood Avenue.
- Cross the Genesee River Bridge, and under the University of Rochester bridge. Continue through light.
- At the next light turn right onto Thomas H. Jackson Drive (previously called Hospital Dr.). Access to the parking garage is on your left
By Train
The Rochester Amtrak station is located at 320 Central Avenue. Taxi service and car rental are available.
- Exit station by turning left onto Central Avenue (toward N. Clinton Ave.)
- Turn left onto St. Paul Blvd.
- St. Paul Blvd becomes South Avenue
- Take South Avenue until Elmwood Avenue
- Turn right ont to Elmwood Avenue
- Continue through light to cross over Mt. Hope Avenue
- At traffic light, turn left onto Thomas H. Jackson Drive (previously called Hospital Dr.)
- Access to parking garage will be on your left

By Car
From the East, West, South
From the East
- Motorists coming to Rochester via the New York State Thruway, Rt. 90, should use Exit 46; take I-390 North to Exit 16.
- Turn right onto Rt 15 A/ East Henrietta Rd.
- Turn left onto Westfall Rd. at first traffic light.
- Turn right at next light onto Mt. Hope Avenue.
- Continue on Mt. Hope Avenue through the 3-way intersection (Dunkin Donuts, McDonalds, etc).
- Turn left onto Elmwood Avenue at next light.
- Turn left onto East Drive. Access to parking garage will be on your right.
From the West
- Use Thruway Exit 47, take I-490 East to I-390 South to Exit 17.
- Turn left onto Scottsville Road.
- At the third light, bear right onto Elmwood Avenue.
