The Pathway Enrichment Program

The Pathway program provides medical students with an enriched experience throughout their four years of medical school in the following areas:

  • Medical Humanities (i.e., history, literature, philosophy, religious studies, cultural and gender studies, visual arts, fine arts, and anthropology)
  • Clinical Ethics
  • Latino language/culture/health
  • Deaf language/culture/health
  • A new Pathway in Medical Education is now offered to interested medical students through the Faculty Development Program.  For more information contact Dr. Barbara Davis

In addition to the regular curriculum, Pathway students will have diversified opportunities in a variety of clinical and research activities, as well as competitive awards and special events. Those students who have completed all requirements may submit their research or educational projects in their fourth year and this information about their work will be added to their Dean's letter to residency programs.

Students with particular interests in any of these areas may enroll in one Pathway program during their first year of medical school by attending the information/sign-up meeting in January, or by completing the on-line Pathway Sign-Up Form. Each Pathway has its own course and elective and research or curricular development components outlined on the links below.
