Curriculum

The curriculum that we recommend includes a small set of required graduate-level courses to provide broad training in cell biology, biochemistry, and molecular genetics, as well as opportunities to obtain specialized advanced training in areas closely related to the student's interests.

The curriculum is designed to be flexible, so that the student can choose from the broadest possible selection of research opportunities at the University of Rochester. The recommended curriculum fulfills the degree requirements for Ph.D. programs in Pharmacology or Physiology: the flexibility of our recommended curriculum allows requirements for other degree programs to be accommodated.
