The Department of Pharmacology and Physiology at the University of Rochester Medical Center seeks applications for a full-time tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor.  Outstanding candidates qualified for higher ranks will also be considered.  Competitive applicants will have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree, postdoctoral training and a clear record of research productivity and creativity.

We seek applicants working in all fields of biomedical research with emphasis on cell signaling and who fit in well with the research interests of the Department.  Current faculty research strengths include: cell surface receptors, ion channels, G-proteins, calcium signaling, scaffolding proteins, mitochondrial and endoplasmic reticulum function, and cell death.  The successful applicant will receive a competitive start-up package and be expected to develop a dynamic, well-funded research program and contribute to graduate and medical teaching programs.
