About Me
Dr. Noronha is board certified in Internal Medicine and has been named a Fellow of the American College of Physicians. He has previously been recognized by the Delmarva Foundation for excellence in diabetes education, and by the Johns Hopkins Internal Medicine Residency program for his skills as a teacher of physicians in training. While he was medical director at his practice in Baltimore, Wyman Park was named "Best Health Care Provider " by the Baltimore City Paper in 2008. Dr. Noronha believes in the importance of good communication, and team based care to help patients meet their health goals.
In addition to his clinical roles Dr Noronha is the Co-Director of the Greater Rochester Practice Based Research Network and Director of the UNYTE translational research collaborative. In these roles he seeks to build collaborations amongst researchers throughout the state, and from researchers to practicing clinicians and medical institutions. His research has focused on improving the quality of care in primary care practices for common medical conditions, including in particular cancer screening and hypertension management.

Nurse Shy'ane, is really outstanding - she's warm, empathetic, and good at what she does. She's the sort of person who remembers whether you need a larger blood-pressure cuff, and doesn't make you feel funny about It. Dr. Noronha is, as always, his own knowledgeable, kindly self.

The nurse who weighed me and took my information was helpful, kind, and just sweet. Dr. Noronha is just the best. He takes the time to discuss any issues and works to solve health problems. He is especially good about answering questions and concerns on MyChart. He always reviews my test results before the appointment. We are so happy to have found him for our health care.

Dr. Noronha is by far the best primary care physician I have ever had. He always gives me sound advice that gives me peace of mind. He responds quickly to questions I send via MyChart, and has even called me at home to check on me (flu, covid). At my annual physical he often spends over an hour with me reviewing my medical history from the past year and listening to any questions/concerns. He looks at my communications with other providers and goes over my visits/test results (i.e. Dermatologist, OBGYN, orthopedist). I could not be happier that he is my PCP.

Dr. Noronha is one of the best doctors I have ever had the pleasure to work with. My brother has mild dementia and sometimes our conversations with Dr. Noronha can be lengthybut he is always thorough in his treatment and very compassionate. He is a rare gem in the medical profession.

I greatly appreciate that Dr. Noronha listens. I switched from another doctor a few years ago, and It always felt like my previous doctor would sort of "half-listen" and then prescribe pharmaceuticals. Dr. Noronha will listen and discuss various situations and their possible causes, and be respectful and direct. As an example, I need to lose ~20lbs+ to help improve my health and we had an honest and funny conversation about that.
