About Me
Dr. Hartman believes in partnering with his patients and their families to create an individualized environment of care consistent with each person's values. He views himself as an advocate for patients' needs and as their link to the wider healthcare community. He also subscribes to the idea of the Mother Friendly Childbirth Initiative and the WHO Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative.
On a personal note, Dr. Hartman enjoys spending time with his family, travel, outdoor activities and learning about other cultures.
Dr. Hartman is currently only able to accept new patients for children's health care and pregnancy/maternity care.

Dr H should teach these skills to other docs! Medical concerns I have about COVID exposure for my daughter who is not yet eligible to be vaccinated are more stressful and complex than are general medical Issues. The scientific info changes rapidly and public health response is inconsistent. Dr H presents current info clearly, thoughtfully, and always gives me time to express my thoughts and questions without interrupting.

Both of the nurses we saw are also excellent in addition to Dr Hartman. They are very caring and respectful of my baby's wellbeing and understand that the maternal-infant connection Is also a crucial component of infant wellbeing and development. The care at Northponds is consistently excellent. Especially during the uncertainty and extra demands that pandemic puts on practices, they remained open, kind, respectful, and informative of the latest changes in policy and procedures.
