Alicia Gotcsik, BOCO, CPed, CO
Staff Orthotist
Alicia rejoined the University of Rochester Medical Center in 2007 after eight years working for a private Orthotics and Pedorthics company.
Alicia's diverse experiences include military and institutional and private Orthotics and Pedorthics practice. Alicia completed Orthotics Specialist training in 1992 before being stationed at the Air Force Regional Medical Center at Scott Air Force Base in Illinois. Upon completing her tour of duty, she worked for URMC for four years as an Orthotist-Orthopedic Technologist, before leaving to pursue training in Pedorthics.
Alicia completed the Board for Orthotist and Prosthetist Certification (BOC) exams in 1995 earning the title of BOC-Orthotist. In 1999, she completed the Board for Pedorthic Certification exams, earning the title Certified Pedorthist. In 2005, she became an ABC-Certified Orthotist-Pedorthist.
Alicia has a special interest in management of the foot and ankle; in particular, the management of the diabetic foot. Other areas of clinical interest include orthotic management of inflammatory disease and arthritis.
