NURSE LEADER
A minimum of 5 years of RN experience and a BSN or matriculation in a BSN program. Is a member of the unit/service leadership team. Demonstrates ability to develop standards of care, unit/service goals and objectives and provide consultation and expertise in delivering patient care.

LEVEL III
A minimum of 3 years of RN experience. Ability to utilize expert skill and knowledge to deliver nursing care, direct others and assume the role as a care coordinator or preceptor.

LEVEL II
A minimum of 6-12 months of RN experience. Assumes the charge nurse role, actively participates in unit/service activities, supports co-workers and assesses unit needs.

ADULT NURSING SERVICES

Medical nurses utilize comprehensive nursing skills in caring for medical patients with complex, multi-system problems. Medical nurses assess patient needs, complete discharge planning, and provide patient education on three general medical units as well as units for medical intensive care, intermediate cardiac care, bone marrow transplant, cardiac rehabilitation, cath lab, dialysis, rehabilitation, neurology, and the Clinical Research Center.
More than 16,000 surgical cases are performed at Strong each year, creating numerous and varied perioperative experiences for surgical nurses. This position performs a complete respiratory assessment of patients prior to testing and identifies contraindication for testing.
