Men's Health Day 2008
The University of Rochester Medical Center is delighted to invite you to join us for our Fourth Annual Men’s Health Day – Time Out For Your Health - on Friday, September 12, 2008. This free informative event will take place at the University of Rochester Medical Center in the Arthur Kornberg Medical Research Building, from 8 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.
The day is dedicated to important health topics of particular interest to men including: prostate health, heart health, joint health, resiliency in aging, coping with pain, and enhancing memory. The event will begin with a healthy breakfast and general discussion on developing a game plan for your health, which will explore how attitude, nutrition and exercise all play a key role in living vital, productive lives. Five breakout sessions will follow, led by the area’s top specialists from University Urology, Strong Heart and Vascular Center, URMC Orthopaedics, Evarts Joint Center at Highland Hospital and James P. Wilmot Cancer Center.
Participants also will have an opportunity to learn about essential health topics and have their questions answered. In addition, a nutritious lunch will be served and a motivating keynote luncheon speaker will discuss preserving and enhancing memory. The day will conclude with the opportunity to participate in hands-on demonstrations of robotic surgery and Automated External Defibrillators (AEDS).
