Appointments

To schedule an appointment, call (585) 279-4680.

We do our best to make sure that you see your doctor when it's convenient for you. We offer same day appointments for patients with urgent problems.

Your cooperation in arriving on time for your appointment helps us stay on schedule. If you need to cancel your appointment, please call us. You will be charged if you do not notify us within 24 hours. When you notify us, we can offer your appointment time to our other patients.

First time patients should arrive 15 minutes early for their scheduled appointment to allow for registration. To save time, fill out our new patient registration form and bring it with you. Before your first appointment, call your doctor's office and have your records forwarded to our office. You will also need to contact your insurance company to change your primary care provider.

Emergencies and Hospitalization

If you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room and have the hospital notify our office. Most HMO insurance plans require prior approval of all emergency room visits. Please call our office at (585) 262-3020 before obtaining these services. We admit patients to Highland Hospital.

Billing and Insurance

Payment is due at the time of your visit. We accept cash, personal checks, or credit cards. We also accept most types of insurance, including Blue Choice, Preferred Care, Aetna, as well as Medicare, and Medicaid. If your insurance covers office visits, we will complete the necessary forms and bill the insurance company for you. There is a $5 billing fee if you do not pay your copay at the time of your visit.

Since we are affiliated with Highland Hospital, we have access to Charity Care funds, which cover office visit costs on a sliding scale. Please talk to one of our secretaries if you think you might be eligible.

URMC Teaches

Our primary focus at Cornhill Internal Medicine is clinical care; however, our URMC affiliation offers us the opportunity to teach as well. During the winter, we have medical students that work in our office. This hands-on training is critical to a student's education and it also enhances our patients' health care. If you prefer not to have a student involved in your appointment, please let us know and we will be happy to accommodate you.
