Practice Description

Welcome to Avon Medical Group. Our goal is to provide you with the highest quality medical care and make your visit to our practice as positive and satisfying as possible. Our physicians work with you to develop the best health plan. We take pride in our long-term doctor-patient relationships, and we firmly believe that the more information you have, the better decisions you will make for your health.

Prescription Refills

Routine prescription refills are available by telephone during regular office hours, or you may bring your medications with you to your appointment. Please allow up to 48 hours for the refill to be called into your pharmacy.

Emergencies and Hospitalization

If you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room and have the hospital notify our office or the physician on call. Most HMO insurance plans require prior approval of all emergency room visits. Please call our office at (585) 266-2640 before obtaining these services. Avon Medical Group admits patients to Highland Hospital.

Billing and Insurance

Payment is due at the time of your visit. We accept cash, personal checks, or credit cards. We also accept most types of insurance, including Blue Choice, Preferred Care, Aetna, and Medicare and Medicaid. If your insurance covers office visits, we will complete the necessary forms and bill the insurance company for you.

Strong Health Teaches

Our primary focus at Avon Medical Group is clinical care; however, our Strong Health affiliation offers us the opportunity to teach as well. Occassionally, we will have medical students or a nurse practitioner working with us. This hands-on training is critical to a student's education and it also enhances our patients' health care. If you prefer not to have a student involved in your appointment, please let us know and we will be happy to accommodate you.
