Going Home

Before you can go home, you will need to do the following:

Make arrangements for someone to drive you home. You will not be allowed to drive yourself home. Instructions for the person who will pick you up.
Plan to have someone stay with you for 24 hours after surgery. No matter how you feel, someone should be there just in case you need help.
Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing. Your stay will be short so it's not necessary to bring personal items with you.
Make arrangements to have prescriptions filled.
Follow any special instructions you were given and report any problems to your doctor right away. A nurse will call you a day or two after your procedure to ask how you are doing. Feel free to share your concerns or questions.
