Going Home
Before you can go home, you will need to do the following:
- Make arrangements for someone to drive you home. You will not be allowed to drive yourself home. Instructions for the person who will pick you up.
- Plan to have someone stay with you for 24 hours after surgery. No matter how you feel, someone should be there just in case you need help.
- Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing. Your stay will be short so it's not necessary to bring personal items with you.
- Make arrangements to have prescriptions filled.
- Follow any special instructions you were given and report any problems to your doctor right away. A nurse will call you a day or two after your procedure to ask how you are doing. Feel free to share your concerns or questions.
