Our attention to the requirements and concerns of older patients is reflected in everything we do. From the moment you enter Highland Hospital, we're focused on minimizing your stress, expediting your treatment, and preparing you for a healthier and more productive independent life.
Emergency Care
The physicians, nurses, and medical staff in our Emergency Room are trained to be aware of the special needs of older patients. They employ "triage"—initial medical assessment—procedures with the elderly that lead to a much faster evaluation and much quicker treatment.
Fast Admissions
Our Direct Admit Process simplifies admission to Highland Hospital for patients arriving from nursing homes or assisted-living facilities. In many cases, the patient is able to skip the Emergency Room altogether and go directly to a hospital room.
