With the move of the Department's academic offices to Corporate Woods, we have created the Center for Emergency Medicine Education and Research. In addition to faculty offices, the center includes a large conference room with state of the art audiovisual equipment and a 500 square foot simulation center on the third floor and a Pediatric Emergency Library and conference room on the first floor. Residents and chief residents have office space on the third floor with networked computers as well.

The Simulation Center is a safe environment in which to learn and pactice critical care skills, become familiar with procedures and equipment and hone critical thinking skills in an interactive manner. Residents rotate through the simulation center during their three years of training. The curriculum is designed to prepare residents for the clinical challenges they will meet as they progress through the program.
