Financial Information
Stipend Awards
Stipend amounts and other scholarship awards, if applicable, have been outlined in your admissions correspondence from the Senior Associate Dean for Graduate Education. If you have questions about your fellowship, please contact the Offices for Graduate Education.
Your graduate coordinator will handle the paperwork to place you on the University's payroll system and to start your stipend payments. You will need to bring two forms of identification (e.g. driver's license, Social Security card, student ID, VISA, or passport). Your stipend payments will be directly deposited into a checking or savings account. To do this, you will need to bring a voided check and file it with the direct deposti form.
Stipend Payments
Stipend payments are issued on a semi-monthly basis. You will access your direct deposit information online via the University's Human Resources Management System (HRMS).
Financial Aid Information
While many graduate students receive financial assistance from the School, others rely on need-based financial assistance in lieu of or to augment school assistance. The School of Medicine and Dentistry Financial Aid Office provides information about the aid programs that our students use most frequently.
Eligibility for most financial aid resources is based on financial need and requires the submission of a financial statement to enable the Financial Aid Office to determine and certify eligibility. Several of the programs are federally funded and have regulatory requirements, which must be addressed through the application process. Application materials can be obtained directly from the Financial Aid Office or found on their website.
If you have questions regarding financial aid, please contact Nancy Janson, Director of Financial Aid, at (585) 275-4523.
Bursar's Statement
All students receive a bill for semester tuition and other fees (when applicable) from the School of Medicine and Dentistry Bursar. Please! Do not ignore your semester bill!
For an explanation of billing procedures, please contact Peg Ehmann, SMD Bursar, at (585) 275-4672.
