Frequently Asked Questions for Masters Programs
- How much is the tuition and are scholarships offered?
- For the academic year 2006-2007 tuition is $32,640. The University of Rochester offers fellowships and scholarships on a competitive basis for full-time graduate students at the doctoral level only. Financial aid is available for full or part time masters' levels.
- When is the application deadline?
- Completed Masters Applications must be received no later than December 1 for Spring admission and no later than June 15 for Fall Admission. There is no matriculation in the Spring semester for the M.P.H. nor for the M.S. in Medical Statistics.
- When can I enroll?
- Masters students enroll in both the spring and fall semesters.
- Do I need to take the GRE Exam?
- The GRE is required for all applicants. Please request that your GRE scores are forwarded to the School of Medicine & Dentistry at the University of Rochester. Our institutional code is 2948. GRE scores cannot be older than five years and we are not able to accept an unofficial copy.
- What if I took the MCAT exam or GMAT exam?
- Other standardized test scores such as the MCAT or GMAT are acceptable for the Health Services Research and Public Health programs only.
- Do I need to take the TOEFL exam?
- The Test of English as a Foreign Language is required of all applicants whose native language is not English unless they are graduates of a U.S. undergraduate program (minimum of 2 years of study in the U.S.). Please use institutional code 2948.
- How do I apply?
- All applications for the graduate programs to the School of Medicine and Dentistry are to be submitted electronically via the Web. [link to online application]
- What is the application fee?
- There is no application fee required.
