Faculty involved in teaching medical students, residents, and graduate students have a need to improve their teaching techniques and to better understand new concepts in learning. The Office of Faculty Development - Medical Education will foster those learning techniques, and also strive to assist faculty members in gaining a better understanding of mentoring, academic career development and leadership.

The University of Rochester will offer a new specialization within the current M.S. in Teaching and Curriculum for doctors, nurses and other health care professionals who want to teach or who want to expand their educational skills.
This M.S.Ed in Teaching and Curriculum – Health Professions Education is designed for health care professionals, including nurses and physicians, who are involved in health care education. The core of the program is two new courses specifically designed to address issues and pedagogical methods in health care education.
