Search Hints for the Provider Directory

  1. Leaving any field blank or with the default selection will not select providers by that criteria. In other words, the default setting answers "any" or "all" to the available select options.
  2. You may enter search criteria into one, both, or neither of the name fields. You can enter as few characters as needed to specify the name.   The more characters you specify, the more selective the search will be.
  3. Select Specialty, Subspecialty, and Gender using the pull down select buttons to narrow your search.
  4. You may enter text freely into the Clinical Interests field.
  5. For Zip Code, enter from 1 to 5 characters. Entering fewer than 5 characters will cause a "wildcard" search of the remaining digits. For example, entering "146" will find all the providers in the Rochester zip codes (146*) -- 14607, 14642, 14621, and so on.
