Clinic InformationWelcome To Our OfficeAt University Dermatology Associates, we offer a full range of dermatology services for adults and children with skin conditions as common as warts and as complicated as skin cancer. Our goal is to provide each patient with the best care possible, whether we are treating acne or a skin condition triggered by organ transplant. We appreciate your selection of our practice for your dermatological needs. Our staff plays an important role in patient care and we take pride in their capabilities. This information will acquaint you with our practice.
Members of University Dermatology Associates
All of our patients are diagnosed and treated by members of an exceptionally qualified team: a board-certified dermatologist, a dermatology resident and/or a nurse practitioner. When the services of a pathologist are needed, our patients also benefit from an on-site dermatopathologist. Our special services include: Our practice consists of seven full-time faculty physicians: Dr. Marc Brown, Dr. Lisa Beck, Dr. Elaine Gilmore, Dr. Mary Gail Mercurio, Dr. Alice Pentland, Dr. Brian Poligone and Dr. Francisco Tausk, one parttime physician, Dr. Art Papier and one nurse practitioner, Virginia Hanchett, NP. Our physicians are certified by the American Board of Dermatology and hold full-time faculty appointments at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. In addition to these clinical faculty, our physician group includes a dermatopathologist, Dr. Glynis Scott. Our clinical faculty have special areas of interest. Twelve additional part-time clinical faculty also practice at University Dermatology Associates on a rotating basis, including two pediatric dermatologists. We are proud to be a part of the University of Rochester Medical Center, one of the nations top academic health systems. Our affiliation affords us access to cutting-edge technology and treatments that enables us to deliver the hightest level of care. In addition, our association promotes an all-inclusive approach to patient care and service Since we are affiliated with the University and Strong Memorial Hospital, teaching is an integral part of our program. It is not uncommon for a patient to be seen by both the attending physician and a dermatology resident, a licensed physician receiving specialized training in dermatology. Often a medical student or a resident from another program will accompany your doctor during the examination. It is also important for patients to know that throughout their course of care, we maintain regular contact with their referring physician Two Convenient LocationWe now see patients at two locations, Strong Memorial Hospital and at our Red Creek satellite office. Our office at Strong is located on the second floor of the Ambulatory Care Facility at Strong Memorial Hospital, 601 Elmwood Avenue, Rochester, New York 14642.

Our Red Creek office is at 400 Red Creek Drive, Suite 200, Henrietta, NY 14623 near route 390 just of of Calkins Road. AppointmentsAppointments can be made by calling 585-275-SKIN (7546) for general dermatology problems at Strong Hospital or 585-487-1400 at our Red Creek Office. Hours of operation are from 8:30 am - 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Dermatology surgical appointments can be made by calling our Dermatological Surgical Center at 585-275-9208. We are committed to seeing patients in a timely fashion, especially those requiring immediate care. If a scheduled appointment cannot be kept, we appreciate notification within 48 hours. Payments
