DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Overseeing the investment and management of the Foundation’s assets and endowment funds and approving the distribution of funds for the benefit and support of oral health care, graduate dental education, and dental research by the University of Rochester Eastman Dental Center (UREDC)

Advising the UREDC senior leadership and also the senior leadership and Boards of the Medical Center and the University of Rochester on:

(a) the development and maintenance of clinical and academic programs in oral health care,

(b) the development and fulfillment of the mission, vision, and strategic plans,

(c) UREDC policies, and

(d) other matters relating to the organization;

Monitoring the implementation of the UREDC strategic plans;

Communicating the UREDC mission and vision to the University of Rochester and the local community, including the importance of the Center as a national resource for oral health education and research and its local role as a provider of oral health care services to the community;

Representing and advocating for the UREDC in the local, state, and national community, and providing support and assistance in the Center's efforts to seek grants, contributions and other funding;

Providing ongoing and active support to development, alumni relations, and fundraising efforts.
