POSTDOCTORAL FELLOW (posted 2/28/08)
Postdoctoral fellow positions are immediately available in Aab Cardiovascular Research Institute, University of Rochester Medical Center, Rochester, New York, USA. The projects involve the studies of molecular mechanisms (signal transduction and gene regulation) underlying angiogenesis, cardiac hypertrophy, and diabetes-associated endothelial dysfunction, using cultured cells and tissues, and gene knockout mice. Candidates with a strong background in biomedical science and experience in animal work related to angiogenesis, cardiac hypertrophy, and/or vasodilation/atherosclerosis are encouraged to apply. Please send a statement of research interests and curriculum vitae to: zheng-gen_jin@urmc.rochester.edu.
POSTDOCTORAL FELLOW (posted 1/28/08)
Postdoctoral fellow position is immediately available in the study of voltage-gated cardiac K+ channel modulation by kinases. Candidates should have a strong background in cellular electrophysiology. Although previous experience in cell biology, biochemistry and molecular biology is not required, preference will be given to individuals with training and/or expertise in one or more of these areas. Please send a curriculum vitae and a statement of research interest to Dr. Haodong Xu, Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, University of Rochester Medical Center, 601 Elmwood Ave, Box 679, Rochester, NY 14642, USA.
