Rochester Regional Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders

The Rochester Regional Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders (RRCASD) was established in 2007 and is one of 6 centers in New York State coordinated by the Center for Autism and Related Disorders Regional Center located at SUNY Albany.  The RRCASD, which is affiliated with the University of Rochester’s Division of Neurodevelopmental and Behavioral Pediatrics, provides information, education, and technical assistance to families, professionals, and schools/agencies residing or working within the Rochester Finger Lakes Region about models of best-practice in the assessment and treatment of autism spectrum disorders (ASD) that are informed by research. The RRCASD seeks to provide information that will:

• Increase knowledge of effective practices
• Expand information and community education resources
• Integrate information on resources in our region

Eligibility

• Anyone diagnosed with an ASD between 4 and 21 years of age
• Family members and/or other primary caregivers of someone with an ASD between 4 and 21 years of age
• Professionals, community providers, schools and agencies who provide services and/or support to individuals with an ASD between 4 and 21 years of age

The RRCASD serves the following counties in the Greater Rochester/Greater Finger Lakes Region of Western New York:
Broome, Cayuga, Chemung, Cortland, Livingston, Monroe, Onondaga, Ontario, Oswego, Schuyler, Seneca, Steuben, Tioga, Tompkins, Wayne, Wyoming, and Yates
