Kelli graduated from Canisius College in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology.
She began working for the University of Rochester in May of 2002 in the Infectious Disease Unit laboratory under Dr. Xia Jin where she gained expertise in flow cytometry and CellQuest analysis while conducting both clinical and basic research.
She has experience operating multiple instruments including the FACScan, FACSCalibur and LSRII flow cytometers.
In addition she is familiar with multiple software platforms including CellQuest, FACSDiva and FlowJo programs.
Kelli's previous role as the head clinical technician for many ongoing clinical trials including ACTG, HVTN and IAVI provided her with an understanding of CLIA and GLP standards as applied within a biosafety level 2 laboratory environment.
Kelli joined the Human Immunology Center Core laboratory as a technical associate in December of 2004 where her first assignment was to initiate and standardize numerous quality control, assurance and safety practices for the laboratory.
Her experience in technical writing of standard operating procedures provides a firm base for quality management and training within the HIC laboratory.
Kelli has also assisted in writing/editing papers for journal submission.
